Medvedev, Obama to sign new nuclear arms treaty on April 8
President Obama is on his way to Prague this morning to meet with Russian President Medvedev in order to seal the deal for the new and improved nuclear treaty between the US and Russia. Obama is scheduled to sign nuclear contracts in the Czech Republic tomorrow. This agreement has been in the works since last December when all previous commitments expired. In the current situation between Russia and the US, it's business as usual with Medvedev's "he said, she said" personality, where the press dignify and embarass each statement made regarding Presidential comments whether true or false. News articles seem to report what may or may not have been stated exactly as intended. Over the past few decades, Russia has remained the "ally to the world" demonstrating its double standards when necessary. It loves neighboring Iran , or it sides with American policy ; Then, it hates the Middle Eastern wars, but, it loves China. There is no telling what could happen over the next few days regarding this nuclear contract between the US and Russia. There may be another revision or two down the pike.

A new nuclear arms reduction treaty is scheduled to be signed tonight in Prague by President Obama and his Russian counterpart. The new 10-year pact will require ratification by the U.S. Senate. Obama says it will lead to a reduction in deployable nuclear weapons in the U.S. and Russia by about one-third. he Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, or START, expired late last year.
