Whether dreaded Pakistani militant commander working for US?

A hot debate is nowadays going on in Pakistan whether dreaded militant commander, Baitullah Mehsud, who is accused of involvement in a number of terrorism cases including the murder of former PM Benazir Bhutto and has also claimed responsibility of an attack on a police training school near Lahore and New York shooting, really belongs to the Taliban fighting the foreign forces in Afghanistan or is working for the US intelligence services?
A latest report in the British media has claimed that the US has finally expanded its covert war in Pakistan to include Mehsud-led banned outfit among its targets. However, it also said that Pakistani intelligence services gave the US detailed intelligence about Mehsud's location twice in recent months but the US did not act on the information.

LONDON: The US government has finally expanded its covert war in Pakistan to include Baitullah Mehsud’s Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) among its targets, a British newspaper reported on Saturday.
According to the paper, the US considers Baitullah as threat to its security. Pakistan’s intelligence services twice in recent months gave the United States detailed intelligence about Mehsud’s location, but the United States did not act on the information.

If the last part of the report is true, then it is clear that the US allegations against the Pakistani intelligence services of having links with the Taliban are false because the report shows that the Pakistan intelligence did its work but the US failed to act on the information, which means the US has a soft corner for Mehsud and is using him to create chaos in Pakistan for accomplishment of its hidden agenda.

the opening comments are very professional, instead of out rightly dismissing the news as rubbish this new angle needs some consideration.
If the US forces/ CIA comes back furiously saying how such “ludicrous suggestion” was even allowed to surface out when  America has committed so much in the conflict and suffered American loss of lives.  then I Pakistan should respond back by saying well your media, news anchors and think tanks are already blaming our forces and intelligence services collaborating with Taliban after loosing much more men than the whole Nato forces combined and countless loss of life of civilians and property.

It is already being debated who is funding the BLA terrorists in Balochistan and Taliban in land locked Swat where the foot soldiers and getting 3 times the amount of pay than a normal civil servant and army solider. Most of the Pakistan’s most wanted terrorists are openly using FM radio and satellite phones but US refuses to target them despite being requests from Pakistan. That’s where now Mehsud is now openly taking responsibilities for his terrorist acts in Pakistan because maybe he knows no drone will fly his way.

Analysts and officials said in the immediate aftermath of the attack that the most likely connection was with Mr Mehsud's Tehrik-e-Taleban (TeT) organisation.

What has caught many off guard is how quickly and openly Mr Mehsud accepted responsibility.
