Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe admitted that his cholera speech was "sarcasm". The World Health Organization [WHO] told Mugabe and ZANU-PF that there are close to 800 deaths with 16,700 cases of cholera.

After reading other articles from Now Public as well as other media, I came across a petition which proposes to move the 2010 World Cup to another country as long as South Africa ignores Zimbabwe and the Cholera Outbreak. I signed the petition and invite others to do the same. I wrote the following.

I am a football supporter who while wanting to separate politics from sports cannot stomach South Africa hosting the World Cup 2010.

My reason is that the Cholera Outbreak in Zimbabwe which has spilled into South Africa and Mozambique is being ignored by the authorities of South Africa.

If South Africa is going to ignore the Cholera Outbreak in Zimbabwe, it would be better to have the World Cup in Europe, North America, or Australia.
