First we heard that Jarad Loughner had an ammunition tab of $1,000. Now, we hear he had a hotel room. Who paid for this? Did this person who had little income and who was under the “watchful” eye of his parents operate independently? Didn’t anyone beside the hotel clerk think Jarad was scary?

Jared Loughner rented a Motel 6 room and used it as a staging ground for a series of pre-dawn errands before last Saturday's shooting spree in Tucson.
The suspected gunman "scared" the hotel's front desk attendant and "gave off an aura that frightened" the clerk, according to a source with knowledge of the investigation.
