As you've likely heard, CIA Director David Petraeus has resigned due to an extramarital affair.

According to Slate, the David Petraeus mistress is Paula Broadwell, the author of the Petraeus biography All In: The Education of General David Petraeus. Both Petraeus and Broadwell are married.

According to the Slate story, Petraeus-Blackwell affair rumors have been floating around for a while.

She appeared on the Daily Show to promote the book, which was considered a flattering portrayal of the general. Here is video of the Daily Show interview.

NBC reports that Broadwell may have had access to Petraeus' email.
