There were no winners
and the people of Gaza
were the losers.
"I used to support Hamas because they fought for our country, for Palestine," says Sadala. Hamas stood for a new start, for an end of corruption, which had spread like cancer under the moderate Fatah. In the 2006 elections Hamas won the majority with their message of change, said Sadala, who earned a living in the building business. Gesticulating wildly, the 52-year-old surveyed the ruins of the bedroom: "That is the change that they brought about. We were blasted back 2,000 years."

Mostly true.
War is never a good option.

Con 10t
Having a loser does not imply a winner, much like a bank failure.
You have no idea about what a war is. It is killing, maiming, destroying things, yet war is not banned under international law.
You have also no idea of logic. You have never condemned murder of Jewish children by Hamas so you have no standing to rebuke anyone.
I strongly suggest you look at what anti Semitism means.

Highly recommend that people read the whole article 158 has highlighted from the International edition of Der Spiegel.

158,
If, as you state above, "the people of Gaza were the losers", then how can you contradict that with your statement also above, "There were no winners"?
If, your statement above is to be understood, it means that you marginalize the Gazan people, and consider the war to be between Israel and Hamas. This is untrue. Israel murdered over 400 children in cold blood, maimed thousands, and committed horrendous war crimes, the worst on record in this the 21st millenia.
If, I read your words well enough, you're logic goes:
I would strongly suggest you look at the BBC 'narrative' in historical perspective. In September, a story BBC ran was titled:
On 14 January 2009, BBC titled a story:
On 22 January 2009, BBC titled a story:
Clearly, the BBC has reported at least a dozen recent news stories substantiated Israeli war crimes. In the interest of all civil society, Israel is hopefully soon to be prosecuted for these terrorizing and horrendous crimes against Gazans.
