Who's Bobby Figs of 1199 SEIU - President of United Healthcare
Lately the advancement of healthcare union workers has tripled in interest and quadrupled in manpower alone because of the lack of jobs offered in other fields by the Obama Administration and the businesses across America finding it hard to stay afloat. Estimated facts from the organization report that there are 47,000 members in the Massachusetts branch of Personal Care Attendant (PCA) workers and an additional 150,000 members in the New York area alone. This union handles billions of dollars in government funds and union dues paid directly by members on a bi-monthly schedule. The dues are used to subsidize the members in various areas; training and advancement funds; pension plans; healthcare insurances. Unfortunately, the delivery of those promises are far and few between. The union started with a number of individuals who have seemed to vanish while the fittest have survived. The President of the organization was arrested on Wall Street during a protest and although very similar speculation is drawn through a background check of George Gresham vs Bobby Figs. Who is Bobby Figs? Who is George Gresham? In 2007 George Gresham was voted the President of the Union. Is he still there? Or is Bobby Figs a figment of our imagination? Most hard working PCA's don't want to have to deal with union bureaucracy they just pay their dues in hopes that they receive training when they are offered at their convenience. But sometimes they are told that they are not quick enough and that there is a limited amount of spaces. For 47,000 members approximately 200 - 350 are being trained in CPR certification or Computer Classes. That's a far cry from 47,000 willing participants. Maybe we should find out if the President of the Union is in jail or is replaced by a look alike before we decide who's making the decisions for 1199 SEIU United Healthcare Workers East!
