Why the conquered ruler still in power?
Soon after, in 1952, the Muslims took control of the country under the leadership of Gamal Abdel Nasser. By then, the age of persecution of the Copts had started in Egypt after the Copts had been earlier protected by the British. Nasser captured the wealth of the Coptic riches, distanced the Copts from leadership, diplomatic and parliamentary positions, evicted the Jews and the foreigners out of the country, bought weapons and caused the hunger of the Egyptian public. He promised the killing of the Jews and the eradication of their state stating, “we will pray our Friday prayer in Tel Aviv!” deploying Coptic youth in war against Israel.
In 1967, he was defeated by Israel in 6 hours and according to international laws, he should have stepped down and been judged for the messy war. Yet, because of his dictatorship, he pronounced that he is the savior from this Israeli defeat. In 1971, he died not long after such pronunciation. He wasn’t put on court for his crimes against the Egyptian public nor the ineffective war in Yemen, nor the 1948 war nor the 1956 war. Nor was he judged for his prohibition of the passing of Israeli ships through the Suez Canal, nor his deception to the Egyptian public that we had won the 1967 war, which was called later “the Naksah” (the failure). He was also never judged for spending the riches of Egypt for promoting of Islam in Africa and the world by building up al-Azhar University; which graduates thousands of Islamic preachers each year who directly participate in the spreading of terrorism.
In the same manner, Hassan Nasrallah and Lebanon’s Hizballah party declared war on Israel. Yet Israel has defeated the party and has destroyed Lebanon yet the party has taken back all its military forces to the south and the Lebanese-Israeli border, which was resolved to having international forces on the border. Yet the party has pronounced that it has won against Israeli forces. It was never presented to court for their war crimes.
The same has happened with the Palestinian Hamas party in Gaza, which declared war against Israel in 2009. Yet the results of such a war was the destruction of all Gaza, causing the Gaza people to hunger and causing them to live in tents. Needless to mention the poverty, unemployment and pathetic situation of the people of Gaza after that war. Even the help from the UN has been halted because of the mess caused by the Hamas party’s control over the area. Yet the party leaders are living luxurious lives while their people were suffering hunger, poverty and unemployment.
They have resumed the killing of anyone who doesn’t conform to their policies, be it Christians and other Fatah party members.
If the world has been spending billions of dollars in its fight against terrorism, this wouldn’t solve the problem without closing the Islamic schools which teach hatred, promote the use of force and aggressiveness against great nations. The world has to cope on changing education and media in the Middle East into civilized media that teaches tolerance, reconciliation and the love for the other which will create a world empty of hatred and terrorism.
