Why does creationism go along with rejection of global warming?

James Inhoffe, an anti-gay rightwinger U.S. Senator from Oklahoma, does not believe in global warming. On a conservative radio show, he made the statement, while giving a statistic, that many less Americans believe in global warming caused by humans, than a few years ago. That is probably true. The fact is though, according to a recent study of scientists who regularly publish their findings on the subject, 97% of 1300 climate scientists believe global warming by mankind, as a concern.

Frankly, if people like Inhoffe didn't believe in relativity theory, which is a subset of physics, than they would spend money, resources and publish books to reduce the number of Americans who do acknowledge it. After all, only about 1/2 of Americans even believe in evolution, and that is the product of millions of dollars spent by creationist, or as they prefer to be called, intelligent design organizations, to increase among our nation ignorance on modern biology and evolution.

Indeed, if someone believes we have a 6000 year old earth, there is almost no chance they believe man made global warming is a concern. The correlation is strong, but not quote so direct, if someone doesn't believe in man made global warming, than they not than believing in evolution.

rming, include a quote by a television weatherman, who lacks even a bachelor's degree, as one of these experts. No surprise, this guy, is a creationist. The belief in a 6000 year old earth and humans riding Dinosaurs, seem to go hand and hand with denying global warming.
