Why I wear a belt

People often say they wear different hats. For example, "Now, as an internist, I think that a lot of chest pain admissions are inappropriate, but if I put on my risk management department hat, then I think it's a small price to pay to avoid severe litigation."

As a resident, rather than wearing different hats, we wear different pagers.
