Why Should People of Color vote Republican

In this election 9 out of 10 Blacks Nation wide will vote for Obama  I wonder what MLK (a Republican) would say?  Many Whites are voting for Obama but Blacks continue to Vote along race and party lines.

Lets take a selected look at history.

It was Republican that Emancipated the Slaves, It was Republicans who were against the Jim Crow and Poll taxes, It was Democrats who stood in front of schools trying to keep Blacks out (Wallace). It was  Republican President Eisenhower also appointed Chief Justice Warren who was instrumental in overturning  Brown vs. Board of Education.

Kennedy voted against the Civil rights Act while he was a Senator. Attorney General  Kennedy, wiretapped MLK investigating him by the FBI on suspicion of being a Communist. 

Senator Byrd, called MLK a "trouble-maker" who starts trouble, but runs like a coward. Dr. King was Killed in Memphis shortly after. 

In conclusion, I wonder why Black American's continue to support a party who has done little but make promises every election season and then never follow up with legislation that is helpful; t them.  Democrats have been giving lip service to Blacks every election season.  I wonder are you better off voting Democrat? 

Obama doesn't seem to be concerned about the poor.  If you take notice to his speeches, he rarley talks about black issues of the working poor.  His focus is on the middle class.  Are most Blacks Middle class?
