Pakistan is  not getting enough support in the natural desaster as the data shows even the small country Haiti got more attantion from donors. This act is somewhat associated with association of terrorism in pakistan.

One week after launching a fundraising effort to help victims of Pakistan’s devastating floods, a coalition of Canadian charities has raised just $200,000 for the region. A week after they began a similar campaign following January’s Haitian earthquake, more than $3.5-million had been raised.

“It’s really low compared to the needs,” said Nick Moyer, co-ordinator of a humanitarian coalition comprised of Care Canada, Save the Children, Oxfam Canada and Oxfam-Quebec. “After Haiti, everyone mobilized, there was no question. When there are questions hanging in the air, it makes it harder to fundraise.”

It is known to western world pakistan has used the UN and American add for Military purpous and support the terrorist outfits in pakistan,so pakistan is loosing the trust of world comunities ,the recent issue can be seen under this umbrella.

People need to realize that Pakistanis are people too.  Just like Hatians, many of them live under poor conditions and many affected by the floods have also lost everything.  Not everyone in Pakistan is a terrorist.  Most are just people trying to survive like in many other parts of the world.  If you donated to Haiti but think Pakistan isn't worth it, think again.

Certainly a tragedy for the Pakistani people.  Possibly donor fatigue has set in as the West are always seen as an easy touch.  Hopefully people will not judge terrorism against the poor who are only trying to subsist under horrid conditions.  Canada for the most part donated over 30 million in aid.

Perfect, there is no end of suffering for thousands effected in Pakistan. And not all Pakistan Citizen is terrorist.

But what if this donated money not reach the people and used for terror network.

It might not just be terrorism, but Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the world, you must remember, while Pakistan may have poor people it is not a poor country.  I don't think most of the money in either case will reach the people in need, anyway.....

It is indeed really sad.. Pakistan is associated with terrorism.. Sad as it is fighting terrorism and helping the west fight it as well. Thousands of people have died in Pakistan due to suicide bombings and target killings, the taliban and terrorists organisations VS. the simple ordinary Pakistani people and the loss no doubt from all angles is of the Pakistani people. The people affected by the floods are the sort of people who let alone know about foreign countries.. Might not even have visited the big cities of it's own Nation. They do not care or think about terrorism.. Their thought process is limited to how to get food for their kids or provide them with at least the basics of life.. Now on the other hand it would be limited to "I wonder whether I'd live to see another day or wonder if I'd ever have a roof on top of my head". Aid coming or not is an entire different story, thanks to the very obvious hatred, racism and the successful anti-Pakistan propagandas the poor amount of aid that has been donated would hardly reach the people in need. It would go into the accounts of our beloved politicians and other powerful government bodies. So from every angle it is a lose/lose situation for all those millions of people. All we can do is pray!

The monsoon comes every year, this year it was particularly hard. This nation has an expensive nuclear capability. If they can afford that why can they not afford to have a back up strategy, living on a flood plain brings these risks. Haiti was already one of the poorest nations with no infrastructure before the earthquake hit.
