Well, someone who it seems has the ability to see the hypocrisy in Washington as they wag there tongues endlessly, AND willing to step out of the line and speak up. Thank you.
Now many of us had high hopes for Obama, but after almost a year in office, it seems we were just high on Obama with no reason to be.
This still doesn't really get to the main reason for removal of this policy, security. If you have a soldier who is REQUIRED to hide a large part of his/her life, it makes them a point of weakness in our national defense. Here is the soldier that can be blackmailed or otherwise threatened with disclosure of their sexuality.

Why is it that gays are not allowed into the military? It does not make sense to me since any man or woman can join to support their country. Are gays not allowed to protect and serve their country? If you are a gay soldier...I salute you because I can not imagine how hard it is to survive amongst those that do not respect your sexuality. I wish that our country would understand that gays and lesbians are not here to attack the heterosexuals. Gays and lesbians are normal human beings that have the right to be his/herself.
