Commentator Don Mashak's article Prologue:

Having grown up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin, this ruling, which does not follow the Rule of Law nor the facts in evidence, incenses me.

I drank raw milk from the ages of 5-21. I credit this with greatly improving my health and IMMUNE SYSTEM. When i go to the dentist, they tell me I have the densest bone structure they have ever seen.  Until the age of 40, I rarely went to the doctor. And before the age of 40, when I did go - It was not for germ nor viral illness.

GERMAPHOBIA is having detrimental health effects on the American population.  Exposure to relatively harmless germs and viruses, prepares the bodies immune system to deal with more virulent germs.

We have all heard of Montezuma's Revenge - the diarrhea and illness that occurs when we go to other countries, particularly third world countries. This results from a sudden exposure to germs and viruses we have not previously been exposed to.  The bodies defenses are overwhelmed.

About 8 years ago, I visited a third world country.  I took all the precautions of not drinking tap water for the first 10 days.  And then I went to private gathering and ate a local homemade fish dish.  Upon my host finding me eating the fish, my host was horrified. The fish was raw, cooked only with lemon juice.My host was sure I would become severely ill.  After a couple days spent waiting for the consequences, I realized it was not going to occur.  And I began drinking the tap water and the well water.  I never became ill. Why? Raw Milk and working on the farm. [For a variety of reasons (Immunity, work ethic, perspective of reality) I recommend all City Teens work on a dairy farm for at least one week, one month or a summer - Volunteer, Vacation, barter or for wage]

And finally, it is also of interest to me that family farmers are most likely to drink their own raw milk (as opposed to commercial operations) If anything there milk is healthier than commercial milk as most family farmers don't use BOVINE GROWTH HORMONE (BGH) to increase milk production.

One moment while I get up on my SOAP BOX - BGH is not harmless

1st, having milked cows myself, don't tell me the BGH does not get in the milk.  All the labels and laws on medicines like Triple Sulfa and Penicillin that I administered to sick cattle, indicated the milk they produced could not be used for human consumption for at least 3 days.  Triple Sulfa and Penicillin are artificial chemicals and concoctions. BGH occurs naturally in Cattle.  If artificial chemicals cross the blood - milk membrane barrier then so will a chemical similar and mimicking a naturally occurring hormone. In fact, I would think that BGH in milk to be a genetic trait that would evolve to be the dominant trait in the Bovine population. (Faster growing calves reproduce younger.)

Parents, think about it. This is why girls (and boys) are developing earlier and earlier.  Only give your kids  NON-BGH milk. The human body is so fragile and the cells are dividing so rapidly before the age of 20, that there is no telling the unforeseen consequences of adding BGH to the mix. (On the other hand, BGH milk may have health and life quality benefits for more seasoned American.)

One last comment to the idiot judge - What germs do you think farm parents and their children are going to get from drinking the milk they WORK HARD to produce that they won't get from each other. Have you not heard of kissing, handshakes, hugs, wrestling and other vectors of germ transmittal that occur between persons that love and live with each other. You moron. Are all judges this stupid and disconnected from reality? All due disrespect fully intended.
