WOMAN CONVICTED OF LURING FELLOW NIGERIANS INTO SLAVERY

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Bidemi Bello recruited her first victim, "Laome" in 2001. The girl was 17 when she traveled, using a fake British passport that Bello had gotten for her When she arrived, she was beaten and forced to do things like cut the grass with a knife. She wasn't allowed to use the shower or sleep in beds. She was even forced to eat molded food and vomit. When she escaped in 2004,  Bello went to Nigeria to recruit her second victim, "Dupe". Dupe was 20 at the time and also traveled on a fake passport. Thankfully, she escaped in 2006. The Root called this one of the worst cases of black-on-black crime imaginable.
