Woman on FBI's Most Wanted List Gets 3 Years
KANSAS CITY, MO -- She was one of the FBI's 10 Most Wanted and was also thought to be a leader of a Kansas City gang. On Wednesday, Shauntay Henderson learned her fate for killing her former boyfriend, Deandre Parker. Police once said Shauntay Henderson, 26, could be connected to as many as 40 shootings, five of them deadly.
Henderson admitted to shooting Parker, 20, back in September of 2006 in a parking lot of a convenience store. She said she did it in self defense, telling a judge Parker was driving toward her so she had no choice but to shoot. The judge did find her guilty of a lesser charge: manslaughter.
Wednesday, Henderson was convicted to three years for armed criminal action, a 10 year suspended sentence for involuntary manslaughter and five years probation.
When Henderson was one of Kansas City's most wanted, police believed she was the leader of the 12th Street Gang. Police caught her less than 24 hours after the FBI put her on their 10 Most Wanted List.
