Wonkette's take on Ron Paul's departure from the race

I'm with Wonkette. Wondering about all the money his supporters donated. What did they get for their money? Where does the money go?

The note was posted at 10:14 p.m., probably Central Time. It starts with an old-fashioned freedom-loving salutation (“Whoa!”) and ends with an angry attack on the very hippies (“socialists”) who elevated him from another nobody right-winger congressman running a quixotic presidential campaign to a hilarious national Internet fad.

Please get your facts straight. You appear to NOT know of what you speak

Hey Mountaineer,

I understand how emotionally involved political elections can be, but please be mindful of NowPublic's Code of Conduct:

1. Stories or comments that deliberately obscure your vested interests.
By being transparent and acknowledging a financial interest, or by
disclosing a bias in your views, you help others to understand where
you care coming from.

That said, what about the above article is nonfactual - could you please be more specific (while providing evidence, of course)?

Cheers!

I'm not even sure if they're going to get one of those "I donated to Ron Paul's campaign and all I got was this t-shirt" shirts. That would be funny though.

But in all seriousness, Ron Paul dropping out of the race must truly hurt his supporters - they were extremely motivated. I know I was mad for a couple of days after Thompson bowed out.

It seems like a logical question.  What will the money be used for?  Has he made any statements about running as an independent?

It sounds like he doesn't plan to run as an independent.
