Woods Fund President Silent on Obama Votes

Two days ago, I published a post containing a news release issued the by the folks at WorldNet Daily. It alleged that Sen. Barack Obama served as a paid director of the Woods Fund alongside a confessed domestic terrorist and that, during Obama’s term, the Chicago-based nonprofit group’s board voted to provide $75,000 in grants to the controversial Arab American Action Network.

After the post appeared Monday as an article at NowPublic.com, I was challenged by an editor there (see comments below the aforementioned article) to find out whether or not Obama actually cast a vote in favor of funding the AAAN. “Fair enough,” I thought to myself before accepting the challenge.

At 4:30 p.m. Central the same day, forwarded an e-mail to Deborah Harrington, president of the Woods Fund.

More than 40 hours have passed, and I have yet to receive any reply from Harrington in which she either confirms or denies whether or not Obama cast any votes in favor of providing grants for AAAN during his tenure on the Woods Fund board of directors.

If Ms. Harrington is willing to provide proof otherwise, I will gladly publish it. Until then, I’m forced to conclude that Obama did, in fact, vote in favor of funding the controversial Arab group that, according to  WorldNet Daily Middle East correspondent Aaron Klein, mourns the establishment of Israel as a “catastrophe” and supports intense immigration reform, including providing drivers licenses and education to illegal aliens.

UPDATE Noon Eastern:  At 11:53 a.m. Eastern, I received an e-mail from Aaron Klein. It came in response to an message I sent to him this morning, notifying him of the post above. He wrote:

I am certain of every word in my Obama article. FYI, I’ve had several email exchanges with Deborah Harrington since the article was published and she didn’t dispute anything.
