Worker union protest in Ljubljana

According to organizers there were around 35.000 people on a first all European union protest in Ljubljana. Aims of the protest was to bring the increasing differences in wages and profits, as well as the falling purchasing power of workers to the attention of EU finance ministers and central bankers, who are meeting at Brdo pri Kranj
The message the unions wanted to sent out was that the purchasing power of workers with average and below average wages in most EU member states was stagnating or decreasing. Almost 19 million workers accross Europe live on edge of poverty while managment structure pays themselves big rewrds.
