The Baguio Media Museum and Animation Studio will observe World Press Freedom Day on May 3 in support to the awareness and advocacy program launched by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Open to the public, the simple but meaningful observance will showcase a day long exhibit that focuses on "Access to Information and the Empowerment of People", the subject of a recent UNESCO conference on Freedom of Expression.

Domecio Cimatu, a semi-retired Baguio newsman will act as the newsman-for-a-day at the BMMAS and at the same time serve as a resource person to visitors. Aside from the existing media exhibits, the BMMAS which is located at 32 Sumulong Road in Baguio City will also showcase the varied process and methods of printing, telephony, radio-TV broadcasting and desktop publishing. Clippings of historic media events as well as other printed forms will also be exhibited.

Outputs of an ongoing workshop on basic photography and video production at the BMMAS may also be presented within the day.
