World's longest yard sale

The 22nd Annual World's Longest Yard Sale, a total of 654 miles of shopping, began on Thursday and will continue through Sunday.

The event stretches across 5 states, from West Unity, Ohio, to Gadsden, Alabama, and you can find just about anything there - antiques, memorabilia, metal signs, homemade preserves and baked goods, barbecue, CDs, and other general yard sale items.

Kit Turner and her grandpa Jim cleaned out the attics at the condo and the lake house and in three hours flat they sold a driveway full of furniture.

“I’m a yard sale fanatic,” said Buddy Floyd. “It’s about finding that bargain — a great deal. I got a Magnavox boom box with working CD player for $1.99!”

In the past, shoppers from all over the country gather along Highway 127. Many of them have packed overnight bags and turned the annual yard sale pilgrimage into a mini adventurous vacation. The event beings at around 8 a.m. and wraps up at dark. When the sun sets, prepared shoppers take out their flashlight and continue the fun of searching and bargaining.

"i don't know what you want to call it...this is what...what do you call this"

"this is a yard sale"

probably the best part of the video. if shes talking to the guy who's reporting on the "world's largest yard sale" she should probably know what it's called. Unfortunately I get the impression that neither of the reporters really care what they are talking about or they are both very new at this.

Thanks for using my photos!!! We had a great time at the 127 Corridor Sale but I'm happy to be home. Going to be listing many of my finds at Castleberry Antiques this week. Check it out!
