Amidst Pakistan military belligerence towards the Inernational Security Assistance Force and its announcement that it will not take any action against the Al Qaeda and Taliban for the next 12 months, Defence Secretary Robert Gates promised release of 12 UAV drones to the rogue army of Pakistan.

"This is Yankee craziness," said Rashid Baloch and Malik Baloch of the American Friends of Baluchistan. "These drones will be used against the secular independence movement in Baluchistan. Pakistan will never act against the Al Qaeda. President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden know this very well and must realize diplomacy can not be an answer to terrorism by a rogue state."

They asked the Pentagon to clarify to the U.S. taxpayers if they have asked Islamabad about the end-use of these drones and what are the guarantees in place that these would not be used against the Baluch.

Pakistani government spokesman scolded Gates on Wednesday for comments he made in India about pressing Islamabad to do more about extremists.

If that is a certain conclusion, and I tend to think so, then rules of engagement should be off. The end of cooperation, and full scale attack. That would be Yankee craziness, would it not?
