A report by the YLE investigative current affairs television programme MOT has caused a political storm in Slovenia. According to the programme aired on Monday, the Finnish defence materiel manufacturer Patria paid bribes to the Slovenian Prime Minister in exchange for orders.

In Finland the CEO of Patria has already resign and charges have been raised against Patria sales personnel, so from here it seems, that there is something behind these claims against Slovenia Defence Ministry. But one thing is sure: there is no need in Finland to influence on Janez Jansa's reputation before election as he claims.

Anyway a huge shame on Finland and Finnish business.

I agree they made a big mess out of this. Now every political debate is around Finland and Patria. Though I would be very surprised if Finish TV would made such claims without any evidence.
