Yoani Sanchez Arrested, Beaten, and Briefly Detained

According to sources from Cuba, agents of the Cuban Government arrested, physically assaulted, and briefly detained the blogger of Generacion Y Yoani Sanchez and another blogger.She made these declarations with El Nuevo Herald and to America Teve Round Table Discussion Host Oscar Haza in his program "A Mano Limpia" [Clean Hands].

She talked about being bitten, kicked, and being punched in areas such as the head, chest, as well as the abdomen. Oswaldo Paya of the MCL [Christian Liberation Movement] condemned the assault as well as the detention of other dissidents such as Darsi Ferrer.
