Young Blogger on Right Side of the Issues St Louis Tea Party Nov 28 2009_mov

While covering the St. Louis Tea Party at Kiener Plaza in downtown St. Louis Saturday afternoon, I ran into a fellow blogger.  Not your ordinary blogger, this guy is 12 years old and, perhaps, the youngest conservative blogger in Missouri.  His name:  David Bader.

Asked to explain why he’s so interested in how his government runs, his answer was straight and to the point.

“I understand that, if these policies are being passed, all this deficit money (is what) I’m going to have to pay off,” he said, “and I don’t want to have to do that.”

Asked, tongue in cheek, why he doesn’t get a paper route or odd jobs around the neighborhood to pay off the debt, he offered a wise-beyond-his-years answer.

“I don’t think that’s gonna be able to stop the huge debt we’re piling up,” he said.

Unlike some in the blogosphere, Bader — who’s been blogging at The Bader Nation since September — doesn’t claim to have all of the answers.  He is quick, however, to point visitors to people and sites where they can find them.

As for political aspirations, the answer is “Yes.”  He has them, so stay tuned.
