Courtney was taken to Hope Hospital but doctors were unable to save him and he died a short time later. He had suffered a single stab wound to the abdomen.
Courtney lived with his family in Verdun Road, Winton, and was a former Wentworth High School pupil.

The victim of Britain's latest teenage street murder has been named by police as Courtney Eaton, 17, who was stabbed to death in an altercation at a petrol station forecourt in Salford, near Manchester, in which a gang of up to ten hooded youths surrounded the fighting men, witnesses say. A 17 year-old youth is in custody tonight under suspicion of murder
As a wave of teenager street murders sweeps Britain, another victim, aged 17, was claimed last night, this time in Manchester.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: 'Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old boy in Salford have made an arrest.
'Detectives this afternoon arrested a 17-year-old boy from Peel Green, Salford, on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody for questioning.'
Officers were called to the scene near the Texaco petrol station in New Lane, Winton, and found the white teenager slumped on the pavement with a single stab wound to the stomach.
Courtney, from Winton, was taken to Hope Hospital where he died a short time later.
Police said the disturbance shortly after 11pm on Friday involved a small number of people but one witness said she saw two youths fighting outside her home in New Lane while a gang of up to 10 others wearing hooded tops surrounded the pair.
Hilda Dinsdale, 63, of New Lane, saw one youth fall to the ground and the gang then ran off in the direction of the petrol station. The injured youngster followed them a short time later, she added.
She said: 'I heard a lot of commotion outside and then looked out of my window and saw a group of around 10 or 12 teenagers all running in one direction.
'They were all wearing dark clothing, most of them wearing hoodies and they all looked between 15 and 17.
'I then saw two of them having a one-on-one fight and then suddenly everybody ran off the other way towards the petrol station.'
A MURDER inquiry was launched today after a teen was stabbed to death in Manchester last night. Cops were called out to the scene in Salford, Manchester, shortly after 11pm. Officers found the 17-year-old lad with serious stab wounds. He was taken to hospital where he died a short time later. No-one else was injured in the incident, police said. A police spokesman said: “Officers want to hear from any witnesses who could assist the investigation.” Police have secured two cordons at the scene of the incident. It is understood the stabbing took place in the street and the victim may have staggered between the two cordoned areas.

I think a knife was one of the first tools invented by man in the form of the Stone Age flint, henry birkenbine. You may as well say, "ban the wheel"! They could clip off the knife tip though, as I heard that most knives carried around are of the kitchen variety.

As long as people do not turn their heart to Jesus Christ there will be hatred. And those who do not turn to Christ now even now hate hearing that. Hatred on this site is apparent in the lies published as truths.
