Using YouTube with a Purpose - Helping Kids in Bangladesh

How about something a bit more substantive than "Leave Britney Alone!" and Diet Coke & Mentos videos?

Many in the NowPublic community might already be aware of my project in Bangladesh - how I'm using YouTube to highlight extreme poverty in Bangladesh and what ordinary citizens around the world can do.

This latest video is a perfect example of how I've been fortunate enough to team up with supportive members of the YouTube community to make a tangible difference in the lives of some of the poorest of the poor in Bangladesh. To watch part one, click here.

this is wonderful! Thank you so much for doing this.  We hear about charity donations and blah blah blah all the time but this is something special. Your videos are very heartwarming and touching. I wish you the best of luck with your trip. If only more ppl were like you...

Thanks everybody :) I've been doing this for a year now. The support from the NowPublic community has been very important for me.

I've only recently decided to start accepting donations. This was because I didn't want my work to be confused with a "real" charity. I'm just one guy afterall.

But I'm glad I did start accepting donations - because it's really opened up some opportunities to help some of the people here in really amazing ways.

Hey Dave! Thanks! It's been a while since I heard from you. And yeah, I'm still here in Bangladesh. The support I've been getting from people - in particular the NowPublic community - was a big determining factor for continuing my work in Bangladesh.
