The Search For Zahra Baker Continues

Police believe they have found the missing 10-year-old's mattress in a landfill, and police are now reporting that her stepmother Elisa Baker is also cooperating in the investigation. They believe that the mattress had been disposed of by her parents sometime in early October and it will now undergo further tests.

Police have also stated that they believe Zahra is no longer alive. They spent most of Tuesday looking through mulch piles at Zahra's home after they found the mattress, which they confirmed contained traces of DNA, but they did not elaborate.

Her stepmother and father, Adam Baker are both in prison; Elisa Baker has been charged with obstruction of justice after she admitted to writing a bogus ransom note after Zahra disappeared, and Adam Baker  was arrested for submitting worthless checks and failing to appear in court.

Although both Adam and Elisa Baker remain persons of interest, no one has been charged with the little girl's killing, nor have police found her body.

Zahra Clare Baker was reported missing on October 9, but no one can claim to have seen the girl after September 25, except for Adam and Elisa Baker.

Police have searched many locations but have found no trace of Zahra.
