NP Rank:
Your Country Castle is not your own.
Barry Artiste, Now Public Contributor
The Canadian cottage, a bastion for many, relaxation away from the city, a weekend haven to putter around, while kids catch frogs at the waters edge, mosquitoes your only concern. Another concern for some is when a person shows up, legal papers in hand. That person is a prospector, unbeknownst to many cottage owners who mistakenly believe they own the ground in which their country castle firmly stands. A British Columbia mining and exploration company has a difference of opinion. Mining is big business, and very few in Government will inform you that Prospectors can lay a claim for $100.00 or so on your land, if said prospector finds minerals of any value, they can pretty much apply to the Government to take it all away from you. That sort of sucks to be you, if you still have a mortgage with the bank. It doesn't happen very often, but recently it is beginning to happen in Canada.
Silly you, and here you were worried how to light that damn mosquito coil?
